Job Description

The cashier is responsible for completing sales transactions within the establishment and performing other support functions which may include cleaning, stocking areas and assisting with other activities; performs all other responsibilities as directed by the business or as assigned by management. 

The hostess welcomes and warmly greet guests on arrival. Manage the efficient and timely seating of our guests to a table that best serves their wishes.

Requirements

Cashier:

  • Count money in cash drawers at the beginning of shifts (if opening) to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change.
  • Operates a cash register and receives payment from guest in cash or credit card, and provides change to guest as required.
  • Maintains a solid knowledge of products and services and events available at establishment.
  • Cleans and stocks work area.
  • Greet each Guest entering and exiting the establishments.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary restrooms. 
  • Answer Guests' questions, and provide information. 
  • Assigns alleys and/or games for using computer system.
  • Rents out bowling shoes and/or gaming equipment.

Hostess:

  • Clock-in and out on Micros system as directed by management
  • Take breaks as required by California law
  • Warmly and graciously greet all guests upon arrival.
  • When possible, open the front door for guests entering or leaving the restaurant.
  • When immediate seating is limited, record guest names and number of people in party. 
  • Call out name and number of party when tables become available.
  • Provide guests with estimated waiting time.
  • Accommodate special seating requests for guests whenever possible. 
  • Seat guest guests based on guest preferences and balancing of customer flow in service stations.
  • Upon seating, offer guests a menu and inform them of their server’s name. Inspect table for proper presentation and completeness.  
  • Relay messages to servers and buspersons as needed.
  • Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return.
